Welcome
Asparagus at Red Barn is grown on an elevated, south-facing bank of the Yeo
River where swans glide by on the water and kestrels hover overhead.
This will be our first full harvest from approximately St George's Day (23rd
April) to Mid-summer Day (21 June). We look forward to seeing you at Red Barn
Farm Shop because asparagus is so good for you we want you to make the most
of it!

- Asparagus is simple and versatile to cook. The more simple the cooking process the better it will taste. Steaming is the easiest method, but Asparagus can be boiled, roasted and barbecued. It is a complementary vegetable to meat and fish as wells as adding flavour to sauces and egg dishes.
- England’s temperate climate allows the spears to grow slowly, adding flavour
to their natural goodness. The season is short — so make the
